Main Character: Naruto Figures
Naruto is your typical shonen main protagonist, with a little twist. Like many shonen characters, Naruto is a simple-minded, cheerful, and exuberant child, who puts friendship before anything. But one thing differs him from all the others — in the village, Naruto is a taboo and a forbidden being for the villagers to even talk about, for reasons unknown to him. Constantly ignored by the public, Naruto desperately tries to gather all attention and act cheerfully, but nothing seems to go his way.
After graduating from the Ninja Youth Academy, Naruto is placed into a team with his archrival Sasuke and former classmate Sakura, a girl that likes Sasuke.
Through the adventures he has with his team, Naruto develops as a ninja and a character to eventually become one of the greatest ninjas in the village.
Naruto’s Rival: Sasuke Figures
From a very young age, Sasuke showed massive potential and was regarded a “genius” by the village. Because he would always take the attention of the class with his skillful ninja techniques, Naruto envied him and without Sasuke’s permission, called himself his rival.
Naruto and Sasuke never got along with each other, and this was also the case when they were placed on the same team. But in crucial moments where teamwork was necessary, the two never hesitated to trust one another.
Sasuke, although portrayed as a cold character, is a fan-favorite for his “bromance” with Naruto.
Naruto’s Sensei: Kakashi Figures
Along with Naruto and Sasuke, another iconic character in the NARUTO franchise is Kakashi Sensei. Kakashi is a fan-favorite: in a poll that determined the most popular character in the NARUTO franchise, Kakashi placed first over Naruto and Sasuke. Kakashi is a “Jo-nin”, meaning upper-class ninja, and Naruto’s team mentor.
Kakashi would always emphasize the importance of teamwork through his teachings and would place the wellbeing of his team before mission success.
Although portrayed as a comedic, relaxed, happy-go-lucky guy, Kakashi is cool and hard-core in crucial moments.
After Word
As a hard-core NARUTO fan myself, if you haven’t read a single NARUTO book yet, I recommend you to give the series a try from the bottom of my heart. NARUTO is as shonen as a shonen manga can get.
