What Jujutsu Kaisen Is
Jujutsu Kaisen is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018. The story follows high school student, Yuji Itadori, as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. Jujutsu.
In December 2021, the movie “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” was released.
It has collaborated with UNIQLO twice and sold goods.
Jujutsu Kaisen Story Overview
Curses and Cursed Energy are two concepts central to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. Curses are beings formed through the accumulated negative emotions of human beings. They are highly dangerous, and can easily kill people. However, the best method for fighting back against these Curses is the very same power of the Cursed Energy that forms them. The people who can use this magic power to fight against the magic spirit are those known as ‘Jujutsu Sorcerers’. The protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen story are high school-aged sorcerers enrolled at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. Their daily lives are not like those of ordinary people, from their respective family backgrounds and experiences to the enemies they have encountered. Even their academic life at school can be a deadly affair.

Manga, Anime and Film of Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen has been serialized in Shueisha’s shonen manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in nineteen tankobon volumes as of April 2022.
An anime television series adaptation was announced in November 2019 and it aired on MBS and TBS’s Super Animeism block from October 3, 2020, to March 27, 2021.
On February 12, 2022, a second season was announced and is set to premiere in 2023.
The theatrical animation was released under the title “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” on December 24, 2021. It is based on “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Metropolitan College of Jujutsu”, a prequel to the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
Collaboration with Uniqlo
UNIQLO and Jujutsu Kaisen teamed up for a T-Shirt collection three times in 2021, featuring popular characters and iconic scenes from Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime series.
Uniqlo Jujutsu Kaisen Manga UT Collection Part 1
The first part of the UNIQLO Jujutsu Kaisen Collection uses Akutami’s original design. It features a number of items, including Satoru Gojo’s “Hollow: Murasaki”, Megumi Fushiguro and his spirits, Yuji Itadori and Panda, Nobara Kugisaki, and a set of members of Jujutsu High School.
The lineup includes seven men’s size T-shirts and four kids’ size T-shirts.
Uniqlo Jujutsu Kaisen Manga UT Collection Part 2
The second part uses an animation pattern by MAPPA, an animation production company. The lineup includes many designs, such as a cool picture of Yuji Itadori from the ending of the first anime season, the scene of Nobara Kugisaki using Black Flash, and a scene of Satoru Gojo using Infinite Void.
Six men’s and four kids’ size T-shirts and three types of “pocketable bags” incorporating the world view of the TV anime “Jutsu Kaisen” into their designs are on sale.
Uniqlo Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Anime UT Collection Part3
The third part commemorates the release of the movie and uses a picture from the key visual of the movie version. The lineup of four different men’s size T-shirts with designs featuring characters from the film, Rika Orimoto who is in a dazzling appearance, impressive design with a ring on the chest and Yuta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto facing each other on the back, a dynamic figure of Satoru Gojo, and Stylishly painted Suguru Geto.
5 Main Characters From Jujutsu Kaisen

Yuji Itadori
The main protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. A first-year student with a optimistic personality, and extraordinary physical abilities. For example, a he can break a wall with his fist, run at supersonic speeds or climb to high places with his bare hands. After swallowing the finger of cursed spirit Ryomen Sukuna, he became its vessel and soon afterwards joined the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. He is very open-minded about his own life, and would be willing to sacrifice himself to save the lives of others.
Megumi Fushiguro
A classmate of Yuji’s at Tokyo Jujutsu High who is another main character. A young man with the blood of the prestigious Zenin Family, Megumi is considered to have great potential. He is calm and composed, always acting cautiously. He believes that the world is unfair, and that as a result kind people should be given more chances to survive. Rather than relying on giving his own life to win, he believes more in giving his own life in exchange for victory for a companion.
Nobara Kugisaki
She is a first-year student like Yuji Itadori. Because she yearned for city life in Tokyo and hated the countryside, she came to attend Tokyo Jujutsu High by herself. She has a hearty personality, but a very poisonous tongue. Although she will do rough things when displeased, she also has a gentle and kind side to her personality.
Satoru Gojo
The teacher of Itadori and the other first-year students. This ‘Special Grade’ sorcerer, who hides his eyes with bandages or sunglasses, is seen as one of the strongest sorcerers by both himself and everyone else in the jujutsu world. He has a frivolous personality, and can become quite arrogant in battle when trying to prove his dominance. He places great importance in teaching his students.
Ryomen Sukuna
This super-powerful cursed spirit that resides in the body of Yuji, also known as the ‘King of Curses’. He was known as an ‘Imaginary Demon’ 1,000 years ago, but was actually a human sorcerer, described as having had four arms and two faces.
