Baby Metal is a Japanese band of their very own musical gender, they define their style as a new genre called “kawaii metal” which is a mixture between J-pop and heavy metal. We could define it only as unique. This girl group is integrated by Suzuka Nakamoto as SU-METAL, Yui Mizuno as YUIMETAL and Moa Kikuchi as MOAMETAL. And they are such incredible girls they have played along bands like Metallica, and Rob Zombie, yeah, that’s right, they’re real metal.

Yeah there’s some stereotypes going around about how a true metal musician should look or act like, but sometimes it happens just the other way around and the stereotypes are shattered by those who we could least imagine. This was the case of Baby Metal, three Japanese girls who, against all reasonable expectations, won the heart of the world of heavy metal (musicians, at least). They stay true to their style and that has earned them the respect (and admiration) of many other musicians on the metal genre (Metallica anyone?).

There’s some main lyrical themes found in the focus of Baby Metal’s music, it seems to be very different from what you usually hear about in other metal bands music, from bullying and peer pressure issues, to body image problems, there’s plenty of real world problems addressed on their music which makes it accessible for people of all ages. Their music is truly empowering and uplifting for people of all generations.
