X Japan, a heavy metal band formed back in 1982 where heavy metal is slowly getting prominent, but yet lack the show light. Even so, X Japan became popular with their hit songs such as “Kurenai”, “Rose of Pain” , and many others.
What is X Japan?
Formation of X Japan
As mentioned earlier, X Japan was formed in 1982 in Chiba with prominent members Yoshiki, the drummer and Toshi the lead vocalist. They were originally named as X when they released their debut album “Vanishing Vision”, but they decided to change their group name to “X Japan” in 1992.

Disbandment of X Japan
However, 10 years after the formation, and of course with the change of members throughout the 10 years , decided to be disband as the lead vocalist Toshi, wanted to leave because of the directional differences. Many fans were saddened by this news, and the song “Forever Love” which was released before the disbandment news was released.

1. Forever Love
One the classic songs by X Japan! This song is very popular among the fans. In addition to that, this song was also used in one of the program’s charity song, and also played throughout the years commemorating hide, who passed away in 1998 committing suicide.
This song was also used in one of the popular anime “X” movie from Clamp. Most anime fans will definitely know this song.
2. We are X
This is a documentary DVD about the band itself, starting from the founding to the influence on Japanese music and society to their disbandment in 1997, and their reunion in 2007. This DVD also covers Yoshiki’s childhood with Toshi, and many other matters about their members and their personal stuff. If you do not know anything about X Japan, this DVD will definitely be a good start for you to start knowing everything about X Japan.
3. The Last Live
The last live before their disbandment in 1997. One of the must get items if you’re a big fan of X Japan. This item is one of the collectables, which feature many of their classic songs such as “Kurenai”, “Forever Love” and many others.
