The Story: A tale of second chances.
Yusuke Urameshi is our (at least at the beginning) not very dashing lead, he comes from a dysfunctional family, with an absent father and a mother that just doesn’t seem to care that much about them, so resulting from that he becomes a very callous teenage delinquent that is not in any way good for society. He proves that he’s not so bad when he makes the ultimate sacrifice: Giving up his life for another human being. With that he is given the chance to fight crime as a supernatural detective, in company of many supernatural characters.

Our main character in both the manga and anime series. He is a Spirit Detective who is tasked with protecting the Human World from various supernatural threats. As a Demon he has a rather cynical and even misanthropic view of the world around him, often belittling and mocking humans and their emotions and the significance they place on friendship and life (he just does not get it), so he keeps his distance form us humans and only has regard for his fellow team mates.

Kurama possesses some very valued traits within his peers * (fellow demons) calculating, cunning and analytical. He is able to carefully look past his emotions and evaluate the situation, which comes very handy when fighting evil. Perceptive, able to recognize the patterns and an amazing ability to see the strengths and weaknesses in others are traits that make him a formidable fighter.
