How to Buy Japanese Ichiban Kuji from Overseas: 3 Ways Compared
There’s more than one way to get Japanese Ichiban Kuji prizes—you don’t necessarily have to visit a physical store in Japan and draw tickets in person. For fans living outside Japan, there are three main ways to enjoy or purchase Ichiban Kuji:
| Method | Advantages | Disadvantages / Limitations | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draw at a Physical Store in Japan | Enjoy the excitement of drawing in person and receive your prize immediately | Requires being in Japan and depends on your travel schedule and store availability [Official confirmation required] | Anime fans traveling to Japan for leisure or business |
| Ichiban Kuji ONLINE | Enjoy the Ichiban Kuji experience online from home | Requires a Japanese account and may be subject to restrictions on overseas credit cards and forwarding services [Official confirmation required] | Fans who want to experience drawing Ichiban Kuji online |
| Buy Prizes Directly | Choose specific prizes such as A Prize or Last One Prize, without relying on luck | You miss out on the excitement of drawing the ticket yourself | Collectors who want a specific prize and prefer not to leave it to chance |
💡Buyee Editorial Team Tip: If you already know exactly what you want—for example, an A Prize or Last One Prize—you don’t necessarily have to draw the lottery yourself! Buying a specific prize directly from Japan’s secondhand marketplaces or pre-owned anime shops can often be a more cost-effective and hassle-free option.
What Is Ichiban Kuji?
Ichiban Kuji (一番くじ) is a prize lottery series released by BANDAI SPIRITS in Japan. Every ticket wins a prize, and many of the prizes are official limited-edition figures and merchandise that are not sold separately through regular retail channels.
What Are A Prize and B Prize?
Ichiban Kuji prizes are generally ranked alphabetically, beginning with A Prize, followed by B Prize, C Prize, D Prize, and so on.
Higher-tier prizes such as A Prize and B Prize are often larger or more detailed figures, while later prize tiers commonly include smaller merchandise such as towels, acrylic stands, and badges.
What Is the Last One Prize?
The Last One Prize (ラストワン賞) is a special reward in Ichiban Kuji.
When the final ticket at a particular store—or from the same lottery set—is drawn, the person who draws that last ticket receives the Last One Prize.
The Last One Prize is often an alternate-color or special-edition version of the A Prize figure.
Shipping is usually the largest part of the total cost and varies depending on the package weight, dimensions, and shipping method you choose.
What Is Double Chance?
Each opened Ichiban Kuji ticket contains a Double Chance serial number. Players can register the number on the official Japanese website for another chance to win a limited-edition version of the same prize or another exclusive prize.
How Does Ichiban Kuji ONLINE Work? Can You Play from Overseas?
As digital services have expanded, the official Ichiban Kuji ONLINE (一番くじONLINE) service allows players to draw Ichiban Kuji tickets online using a smartphone or computer.
- Basic Process: Log in to the official Japanese Ichiban Kuji website ➔ Select the series you want to play ➔ Make payment and join the online queue ➔ See your prize result immediately and arrange delivery.
- Availability for Overseas Users:
- Overseas credit cards: Some Japanese online lottery platforms have strict restrictions on credit cards issued outside Japan.
- International shipping and forwarding services: Ichiban Kuji ONLINE generally only supports delivery to addresses within Japan. If you use a forwarding service, please note that some forwarding warehouse addresses may be identified by the official system and rejected.
- After-sales support: If an item is damaged during shipping, handling returns or exchanges from overseas can be extremely complicated.
Important: Before participating, always check the latest terms of use and shipping restrictions on the official Japanese Ichiban Kuji website.
Don’t Want to Rely on Luck? You Can Buy Released Ichiban Kuji Prizes Directly
If playing Ichiban Kuji ONLINE seems too complicated—or you’re worried about spending thousands of yen only to end up with several smaller prizes—buying an already-won Ichiban Kuji prize directly can be a great alternative.
- Buy A Prize directly: Many Japanese players list duplicate A Prizes for sale. Depending on the item, buying one directly may cost less than repeatedly drawing tickets until you win it.
- Buy Last One Prize directly: You don’t need to buy out an entire lottery just to get the Last One Prize. Instead, you can search for a Last One Prize that has already been listed on Japan’s secondhand market.
- Japanese keyword search tips: When searching Japanese shopping sites or secondhand marketplaces, try using the following Japanese keyword combinations:
- For a specific series’ A Prize: 一番くじ ワンピース A賞 (example: ONE PIECE Ichiban Kuji A Prize)
- For Last One Prize: 一番くじ ラストワン
- For brand-new/unopened items: 一番くじ 未開封

What to Check Before Buying Japanese Ichiban Kuji
When purchasing Ichiban Kuji prizes from secondhand marketplaces or online stores, keep the following points in mind to help avoid problems with your order:
- Unopened / Opened: Check whether the item is marked 未開封 (unopened) or 開封済 (opened). For figures, unopened items generally have higher collectible value.
- Box condition: If condition is especially important to you, check whether the seller mentions 箱痛み (box damage) or 箱なし (no box).
- Missing parts: If you are purchasing an opened item, make sure that all figure accessories and the display base are included.
- Seller ratings: When shopping on Mercari or JDirectItems, prioritize sellers with high ratings and a strong transaction history.
- Unusually low prices: If a popular A Prize or Last One Prize is listed far below the typical market price, exercise extra caution and read the product description carefully.
- Correct item name and prize tier: Double-check that the listing title matches the photos before ordering so that you don’t accidentally purchase an E Prize or another smaller prize when you intended to buy an A Prize figure.
- Authenticity reminder: Items on secondhand marketplaces are provided by individual sellers or third-party stores, so it is not possible to guarantee that 100% of all listed items are authentic. Before purchasing, we recommend checking seller ratings, actual product photos, and detailed descriptions carefully.
Japanese Ichiban Kuji Q&A
Q1: How Much Does One Ichiban Kuji Ticket Cost in Japan?
A: A typical Ichiban Kuji ticket generally costs around ¥700–¥900. For higher-end Ichiban Kuji series featuring more premium prizes, such as Ichiban Kuji DIORAMATIC, a single draw may cost around ¥1,000–¥5,000. [Official confirmation required]
Q2: Can You Play Ichiban Kuji ONLINE from Overseas?
A: Ichiban Kuji ONLINE is currently designed primarily for users within Japan. Overseas players may encounter restrictions such as overseas-issued credit cards not being accepted and the lack of direct international shipping.
According to the latest announcement published by the official Japanese Ichiban Kuji service on August 7, 2026, access and connection restrictions have officially been implemented for IP addresses outside Japan.
Overseas users attempting to access the website directly may encounter issues such as being unable to access the site, server errors, or difficulties completing lottery draws and checkout.
Q3: Does Ichiban Kuji ONLINE Ship Internationally?
A: No. Ichiban Kuji ONLINE only supports delivery to addresses within Japan and does not offer direct international shipping.
Q4: Can You Buy an A Prize Directly?
A: Yes. Many players and secondhand stores list already-won A Prizes on platforms such as Mercari, JDirectItems, and Rakuten Japan. International shoppers can search for and purchase these items through Buyee.
Q5: Can You Buy a Last One Prize Directly?
A: Yes. Last One Prizes are also listed by players on Japan’s secondhand market. If you only want a particular Last One Prize, buying one directly generally makes it easier to control your budget than purchasing all the remaining tickets in a lottery set.
Q6: Where Can You Buy Ichiban Kuji in Japan?
A: In Japan, Ichiban Kuji is available through physical retailers such as convenience stores including Lawson and FamilyMart, anime retail chains such as Animate, toy stores, and Jump Shop locations.
For fans outside Japan, Buyee can also be used to purchase already-won prizes from online platforms such as Mercari, JDirectItems, and Surugaya.
Q7: Are All Ichiban Kuji Items on Mercari Authentic?
A: Mercari is a person-to-person secondhand marketplace, and products are listed by many different individual sellers. Therefore, it is not possible to guarantee that 100% of the items are authentic.
To reduce risk, we recommend choosing sellers with clear product photos, detailed descriptions, and strong ratings.
Q8: Can You Buy Japanese Ichiban Kuji Through Buyee?
A: Yes. Through Buyee, you can purchase already-won Ichiban Kuji prizes listed on platforms such as Mercari, JDirectItems, Rakuten Japan, Amazon Japan, and Surugaya and have them shipped internationally to supported countries and regions.
Please note, however, that Buyee does not provide a proxy lottery-drawing service for Ichiban Kuji ONLINE.
Japanese Ichiban Kuji offers the excitement of a random prize lottery, but for anime fans living outside Japan, restrictions on overseas credit cards, international shipping limitations, and the risk of going over budget through repeated draws can make participating more difficult.
Buying specific prizes that have already been won through Japan’s secondhand marketplaces and proxy shopping services allows you to set a clearer budget for the A Prize or Last One Prize you really want, while avoiding the frustration of repeatedly drawing without getting your desired prize.
Start searching Buyee using keywords for your favorite series and find Ichiban Kuji figures and limited-edition merchandise from Japan!
