At 18, Miyavi began his music career with the name of Miyabi (in Japanese, elegant) in the group Due’le Quartz. Although he was the youngest of the band, much of the songs and lyrics were composed by himself. Dué le Quartz broke up in 2002, when Miyabi changed his name to Miyavi (loyal) and started as a soloist. Miyavi says he is very grateful to Due’le Quartz, which is why he tattooed the name on his wrist, but now that he works alone he is much freer. Not all of his fans in Due’le Quartz followed him as a soloist. Considered an expert guitarist, his solo career diminished this facet.In 2008 he carried out his first international tour in the United States, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and other countries in Asia and Europe. Internationally he was nicknamed the “samurai guitarist” for his undeniable ability.
