About Demon Slayer’s World of Men and Monsters
The Demon Slayer series begins in in the Taisho era of Japan (1912 – 1926). In the beginning, the protagonist Tanjiro and his family lived a simple life in the wilderness. One day Tanjirou went out to work, and when he returned home, he found that his mother and siblings had been massacred. Tanjiro immediately understood that his family had been attacked by demons, with his sister Nezuko as the only survivor. In order to save Nezuko, Tanjirou hurriedly carried her down the mountain to find help, but when she began to wake up, Tanjiro realized that Nezuko too had become a demon, and their adventures start from there.
The ‘Demon Slayer Corps’ of this universe is, just as its name implies, an organization dedicated to destroying all demons. Those warriors of the Demon Slayer Corps who are able to rise to the highest rank of Hashira are very powerful, but few in number. The Infinity Train of the movie and new season arc is a train that had been the site of many mysterious fatal incidents in the past. The Demon Slayer Corps sent many teams out to eliminate the cause of these incidents, but with no success. It was then decided to send Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku to ensure that the task was completed. Protagonist Tanjiro and his friends from the Demon Slayer Corps are also sent to work together with the Flame Hashira, but no one expected the events that were to come…
