About Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash
Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash, also known as Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, is a new movie based on an older story. Originally released as a trilogy of novels by series creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, the story follows Hathaway Noa, the son of original series main character Bright Noa, as he starts a rebellion against the corruption of the Earth Federation and its privatization of Earth. Noa joins the terrorist group Mafty to achieve this goal, while still unable to forget events from his past during the Second Neo Zeon War. This movie is the first of a planned three movie series that will cover the same story. Learn more about the characters, mobile suits and history of this new adaptation below!

The Main Mobile Suits of the Story
RX-105 Ξ Gundam (Xi Gundam)
This special mobile suit was built for Mafty to use for its assaults on the Earth Federation, and is piloted by Hathaway Noa. The Xi Gundam contains many features that make it stand out from the standard mobile suits, such as its larger arms and its signature Minovsky Flight Unit, allowing for free movement throughout Earth’s atmosphere even in its default mobile suit mode.
RX-104FF Penelope (Penelope)
The huge Penelope mobile suit was developed by Anaheim Electronics, the same manufacturing company that created the Xi Gundam. It was piloted by the Earth Federation Forces colonel Kenneth Sleg in his fight against Mafty. Features a special conical Beam Barrier that enables it to travel at supersonic speeds, although the mobile suit is required to transform into its Flight Form in order to do so.
Although there are just two mobile suits featured in this article, which focused on the main players of the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway story, the larger Gundam series features a variety of different models of many shapes and sizes, each featuring hidden abilities of their own!
