The legendary Japanese manga artist, screenwriter and anime film director Katsuhiro Otomo, has revealed at the Anime Expo 2019 a sequel anime TV series to his greatest masterpiece, AKIRA.
Although the 1988 animated post-apocalyptic cyberpunk movie AKIRA is what made him famous and respected worldwide, it was based on Otomo’s 1982 manga, AKIRA. In fact, he might even be a greater mangaka considering that he has won numerous awards and some that no other manga artists have received.
