He is one of the famous designers in Japan. After graduated in 1984, he has started his career as designer in fashion industry which in Comme des Garcons that brand is established by Kawakubo Rei at Paris. After that he began to be in charge of a lots of his own brands through Comme des Garcons. In 1993, he ran and deployed his original collection as Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons, at the same time, he has been taken part in the Paris Collection. He is known as using fashionable design and outstanding materials. Also, he has collaborated with many brands such as Levi’s, MONCLER, Supreme as well as Loewe. His globally activities are won acclaimed around the world. He still works at Comme des Garcons in Tokyo currently as vice president.
